Not to be confused with Tooting Bec or Tooting.
Tooting Broadway Tube Station is a Northern Line through and sometimes rarely a terminus. It is managed by London Underground and was opened on the City and South London Railway back in September 1926. It has 2 platforms, left side (Escalator Point of View) is via Central London, or Northbound, right side is to Morden.
History[]
During and after WW1, The UERL began reviving extensions that have been either proposed in the past or new ideas. It was made possible by the Trade Facilities Act 1921, which was designed to alleviate problems of large scale unemployment.
For simplicity, The C&SLR and UERL had one of its new project, the Morden Extension, and Tooting Broadway was one of them.
