The Palace of Westminster, also known as the Houses of Parliament, is the meeting place of the two houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom — the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Though being the home of the UK Parliament, the palace is a royal residence and is owned by the monarch in right of the Crown. The current 19th-century Gothic Revival palace was designed by Sir Charles Barry and Augustus Pugin.

800 year old Medieval bone fragments discovered beneath the Palace of Westminster in 1992.
