Old Street is an area in Central London in the London Borough of Hackney, named after the long east-to-west street between Shoreditch and Clerkenwell.
History[]
Old Street overall was recorded as Ealdestrate in about 1200, and le Oldestrete in 1373.
Figures from Transport for London in 2022 showed that entries and exits at Old Street Station have dropped by more than a third from January 2020.[1]
