One of the parties in existence in the London County Council. It was formed in 1894 and wound up in 1963.
The Municipal Reform Party was a local party allied to the parliamentary Conservative Party in the County of London. The party contested elections to both the London County Council and metropolitan borough councils of the county from 1906 to 1945.
There are numerous mentions in The Times.
A number of files exist at The National Archives - one (from 1920–21) relating to a deputation 'about the appalling increase in rates.'
