Montague "Monty" William Garrett (19 December 1906 - 1991) was a sales manager and Conservative Party local politician in the Twickenham area.
Member of the Middlesex County Council for Twickenham, Hampton division 1946-1965 and a member of Twickenham Borough Council he served as Mayor of Twickenham for 1954-55.
Under the London Government Act 1963 both Twickenham and Middlesex councils were abolished and the area became part of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames in Greater London.
Garrett was elected to the Greater London Council to represent Richmond-upon-Thames from 1964-67.
He also became an alderman on Richmond upon Thames Borough Council in 1964, and was chairman of the shadow council until 1965 when he became first Mayor of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames in 1965-66.
