The Rt. Hon. Malcolm John MacDonald (17 August 1901 - 11 January 1981) was a politician and diplomat.
The son of Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald, he was born in Scotland. Following education at Oxford, in 1928 he was elected to the London County Council as a Labour Party councillor for Stepney (Limehouse) holding the seat until 1931. His sister, Ishbel MacDonald, was also a member of the county council.
In 1929 he became a member of parliament for a Nottinghamshire constituency. When the Labour Party split in 1931 over the formation of a National Government he joined the National Labour faction. He served as a cabinet minister and retired from politics in 1945.
He subsequently held posts as Governor-General of Malaya, High Commissioner in India and Governor-General of Kenya.
