The 1992 Tube Stock is a class of deep-level train that operates on the Central and Waterloo & City lines of the London Underground. A total of 700 cars were built. The 1992 Stock comes in 8-car formations on the Central line and in 4-car formations on the Waterloo & City line. The first '92 Stock entered service on the Central line on 7 April 1993, and have replaced the 1962 Stock that operated on the Central line until the mid-1990s. The Waterloo & City line sets were designated as British Rail Class 482 units until 1 April 1994.
