John "Jack" Speakman (1873 - 7 August 1942) was a trade unionist and Labour Party politician.

Born in Erith, he was the son of John Edward Speakman, a civil engineer. In 1896, when he married Elizabeth Davan, he lived in the King's Cross area of St Pancras. At the time he was an was a omnibus conductor and at the 1901 Census he was a tram conductor and living at Peckham. By 1911 he was a trade union secretary and living in Deptford.

A member of Deptford Borough Council and served as Mayor of Deptford in 1932-33.

He represented Deptford on the London County Council from 1919-22 and from 1925 until his death.
