James William Domoney (1851-23 March 1918) was a marine engineer and local politician.

Born in Blandford, Dorset, he was the son of James Domoney, a solicitor's clerk, and by 1871 the family were living in Chelsea, London. In 1878 he married Fanny Augusta Walliker of Hampstead. By 1881 the couple were living in Penge, and he was working as a commercial clerk. By 1901 he was living in Battersea and was a civil engineer and employer.

In 1898 he was elected a Common Councilman for Langbourn Ward of the City of London, and in 1916 became an alderman. He represented the City on the Port of London Authority. He was a member of the Worshipful Company of Loriners.

He sat as a Municipal Reform Party member of the London County Council from 1907 until his death. From 1907-10 he represented Battersea and Clapham (Clapham), and the City of London from 1910.
