George Rowland Durston Bradfield (1891-1 March 1965) was a dental surgeon and local politician.
A native of Sydenham, during the First World War he held a commission in the Royal Field Artillery.[1]
Conservative Party member of London County Council representing Lewisham West 1946-65. He was Deputy Chairman of the County Council 1955-56.
Also a member of Lewisham Borough Council, he served as Mayor of Lewisham for 1949-50.[2] In that capacity he unveiled a plaque for WWII soldiers on the war memorial in November 1949.[3]
He died on 1 March 1965, aged 74, one month before the abolition of the London County Council, and his seat at Lewisham West was left vacant. . Some material here
