George Edward Garnett (31 January 1904 - 31 March 1969) was the last Mayor of Woolwich, holding office in 1964-1965. The Metropolitan Borough of Woolwich was merged into the London Borough of Greenwich on 1 April 1965. He was an alderman on the new Greenwich council until his death
Born in Southwark, he was the son of George Arthur Garnett, electricity meter inspector and his wife Elizabeth Annie MacQuarie.
