Edward Smallwood (1861 – 26 February 1939) was a coal merchant and Liberal Party politician.

A member of Islington Borough Council, he also sat as a Progressive Party member of the London County Council representing Islington East from 1910 until 1917 when he was elected member of parliament for the same area. His parliamentary career was short, as he lost his seat at the 1918 General Election.
