Sir Christopher Thomas Higgins (14 January 1914 - 29 April 1998) was a town planner and Labour Party politician.
A member of Acton Borough Council, he served as Mayor of Acton for 1958-59.
A member of Middlesex County Council from 1952 until its abolition in 1965, he was elected to the successor Greater London Council in 1964 as one of the representatives of the London Borough of Ealing, holding the seat until 1967. He was chair of the GLC's Planning and Communications Committee.
His interest in town planning and the development of new and expanding towns to accommodate "London Overspill" saw him being appointed to the Hemel Hempstead New Town Advisory Committee in 1946 and later on both Hemel Hempstead and the Bracknell Development Corporations. In 1968 he became Chairman of the Peterborough Development Corporation.
He became Chairman of the New Towns Association and was knighted in the 1977 New Year's Honours.
He retired from Peterborough Development Corporation in 1981.
