Andrew Arter (1839 - 22 May 1910) was a wood merchant and local politician in the Hammersmith area.

Moderate Party member of the London County Council elected in 1889 and 1892 to represent Hammersmith. He was defeated at the 1895 election when he stood at Hoxton .

Resident at Linden House, Upper Mall, Hammersmith, he died in 1910 at the age of 71 and was buried in Brompton Cemetery.
