Sir Alexander Keith Carlyon (1849 - 30 May 1936) was a barrister and local politician.

Born in Exeter, he was the son of Reverend Philip Carlyon, Perpetual Curate at St. James Exeter (and later Rector of Wisbech, Cambridgeshire), and Grace Julia née Young.

He qualified as a solicitor in 1871 and was called to the bar in 1888. Carlyon lived at 'Roselyon', Mount Park, Harrow and was a member of Middlesex County Council from 1898-1925, sitting as councillor Harrow-on-Hill from 1898-1909 and as an alderman thereafter. He was knighted in 1926.

He was High Sheriff of Middlesex for 1906-07, and his coat of arms can be seen in a stained glass window in the former Middlesex Guildhall.[1]
